It’s Gardening Time!

Check out the Spring Gardening Programs at Fort Bragg Branch Library.

First up is part one of The Spring Garden with local gardening expert, Sakina Bush. Sakina will be discussing all the basics for successful seed sowing and early prep for our spring gardens. The Spring Garden part 1 class will be Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 10-11:30 am.

Second, we are co-hosting, along with Field of Dreams, a Community Seed and Plant Swap, also on Saturday, February 28, from 2- 4 pm. Join us for an afternoon of seed and plant sharing, leaning, story swapping, and meeting new friends. Bring your extra seeds & plants to share. 2026 is the perfect time to start stewarding and contributing to the local seed movement. All seeds are welcome, however, seeds are not required to attend.

Next will be The Spring Garden part 2 where Sakina will teach us best practices for bed preparation, choosing the right soil and optimum fertility, Saturday, March 28, 2026, 10-11:30 am.

And last, but not least, Sakina will be back on Saturday, April 11, 2026, 10-11:30 am to get us ready for our Summer Garden.
