Banned Books Week

Banned Books

Sunday, Sept. 27, kicks off Banned Books Week, a week we libraries choose to celebrate by inviting everyone to express their freedom to read whatever they want by picking up a banned book to read.

On display at Fort Bragg Branch Library will be commonly banned and challenged books for you to choose from or you can check out these lists if you’d like to decide on your own.

Either way, come on down to the library, Sept 27-Oct 3, 2015 to check out our Banned Books Display, discuss Banned Books with staff and fellow patrons and participate in our Guess the Banned Book Game.

While you’re here, you can order a copy of the banned book we will be discussing at our next Thursday Book Club.

You’re also invited to join us for a screening of Ai Weiwei: The Fake Case POV documentary, Oct 2 to learn about banned artist, Ai Weiwei of China.

Either way, let the world know you will not stand for the kind of censorship that limits your freedoms.
