NaNoWriMo Kickoff and Writing Workshop for Teens and Tweens
October 11, 2017 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Fort Bragg Library has 175 published local authors under the age of 16 currently in circulation. Each of these teen & tween authors participated in the NaNoWriMo program the library and the Friends of the Library have sponsored for the past 5 years. 2017 is no different. Once again, we are sponsoring National Novel Writing Month and encourage you to take the challenge.
The challenge is to write an entire novel just in the month of November, start to finish, all in the same month. The novel can be planned, outlined and prepped prior to but the actual writing takes place beginning November 1st and ends November 30th. To accomplish this feat, Fort Bragg Library is offering a Kickoff to help young writers get started and prepare for the experience. With November fast upon us, we’re looking to get a head start to make this a successful writing experience.
You’re invited to join us for our NaNoWriMo Kickoff and Writing Workshop where you’ll get outline and writing tips, be encouraged to query prominent local authors about their writing habits and experiences, and partake of some delicious, locally crafted pizza. Whether you are serious about writing or just want to try the challenge for kicks, stop by Fort Bragg Library Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 3:30 pm to 5 pm.
See you at the library!
