Radio Days ~ KDAC Showcase

Beginning in 1949, the staff of former Fort Bragg radio station KDAC wrote, performed, and recorded a series of radio plays, based on local people and places. Now, the Fort Bragg-Mendocino Coast Historical Society will play those original recordings, and display some of the original radio play transcripts.

Long-time locals will enjoy re-visiting those early days of KDAC – “The Voice of the Mendocino Coast” – and listening once more to familiar voices. For others, it’s an opportunity to step into the past, to feel what it was like on the coast over 60 years ago.
