 Bilingual Storytime promotes early language learning and social interaction among children. The main focus of the storytime is to expose children to the library, to reading and to other languages and customs within their own community. Children of all cultures can benefit from the activities presented at Bilingual Storytime. For example, stories and songs teach English-speaking children basic Spanish words pertaining to colors, numbers, etc while Spanish-speakers get to hear stories in their native language. And they all get to interact and socialize with their multi-cultural peers!
