Beginning in 18th century Ghana and moving through 20th century Harlem, Homegoing is the story of two half sisters born into separate tribes, one who grows up in comfort, the other in poverty and the impact their different lives have on their descendants. This is a novel that “captures the troubled spirit of our own nation”.
