Kids Literacy Packs for Checkout

Mendocino County Library is excited to announce the introduction of a new resource in our children’s collection: Kids Literacy Packs!
Kids Literacy Packs are a collection of books and activities with a central theme that will help you create significant learning experiences with your child.
With kit themes such as farms, trains, robots, bugs, friends, music, and more, you and your little ones are guaranteed to find a kit to take home and enjoy.
Each kit comes complete with several picture books, interactive toys, laminated song sheets, and either a thematic music CD or a thematic DVD. These items can be used by caregivers to create learning experiences or story times at home or on the go! These kits have been developed to create early literacy skills in young children, which will help build a foundation for life-long reading skills and encourage reading as a fun leisure time activity.
Kids Literacy PacksEach branch of the Mendocino County Library will have their own selection of Kids Literacy Packs. Packs can be checked out and returned to your local branch; these kits are available for curbside pick-up. Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, as a precaution after being returned, the kits will be quarantined for a period of time and then wiped down with disinfectant.
For more information, please contact your local library branch or the Mendocino County Cultural Services Agency at 707-234-2873.
