Fundraising Committee
Our next fundraiser will be at Café 1 on Wednesday, September 30th. Please consider coming for breakfast or lunch between 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. A percentage of the sales will be donated to the FFBL!
Now that the building expansion is becoming a reality, the fundraising committee is looking to expand and create new avenues of raising money. If you are interested in helping, please contact us for more information. Our fundraising meetings are held on the first Friday of each month at Café 1. Our next meeting is Friday, August 7th at 10 am.
Book Sales
Book sales have always been a major source of income for the FFBL. These have included both in-person book sales and online sales. Our final book sale of the year will be Labor Day weekend. The book sale begins on Friday, September 4th with our Members-Only pre-sale. If you are not a member, you can join for $10! The pre-sale is from 3 pm- 6 pm. This is also First Friday, so lots of fun activities are happening downtown. Hope to see you there. The sale will continue on both Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th, 10 am- 4 pm. During the sale, we will begin offering raffle tickets for a beautiful Quilt made by Carole Poma. The quilt will be on display in the library September & October. The raffle drawing will be the first week of November. Stop by the library to view this amazing quilt and then purchase your tickets at our book sale. Tickets will also be available to purchase during September & October at various locations and dates around town. Check for more information at our September book sale. Our future book sale dates will be posted in the Fall.

Spring Book Sale
Our Spring Book Sale was a great success. We had a fun weekend and enjoyed the music from the free Blues concert in Bainbridge Park. In total we raised $2158.95. The raffle sale brought in $452.00! Our final book sale of 2026 will be Labor Day weekend. Details will be forthcoming.

Raffle Prize Winners
The winners of our raffle were Pat Long & Linda Thornquist Stumpf. Pat Long is the Co-Chair of the LIT LOVERS book group at the Presbyterian Church in Fort Bragg. Linda Thornquist Stumpf is the treasurer of the Friends of the FB Library! Both women have generously donated their winning prizes (Kindles) back to the library! The 2 Kindles will be used as prizes for our summer reading program. We would like to thank Linda and Pat for their continued support of our library.
Other Fundraising
On Monday April 20th Noyo River Grill sponsored a fundraiser to benefit the Friends of the Fort Bragg Library. Music was provided by Sean Hathorn. Last week Gabriel Medina the Owner of Noyo River Grill presented us with a check for $550! Thank you to the Medina Family and their continuing support of our library.

Basket-Making fundraiser was a great success!
A huge thank you goes out to Erika Mills and all who attended the Friends of the Fort Bragg Library’s Basket-Making fundraiser. In total, this event raised $1000 for the Friends.
Erika, artist extraordinaire, graciously volunteered 5 hours of her time to teach eager participants the fine art of pine needle basket weaving, and boy, did they have fun!
Thank you, Erika!
