Teen Summer Reading Program

JUNE

June 21st-Summer Reading Kick-off:  11-2 pm: Come sign up for the summer reading program and check out some of the library’s cool new offerings.

June 25th-Tie Dye Socks: 3 pm: Tie dye a pair of socks or two.  All material provided.

June 29th-Origami: 2 pm: Come learn to make great origami  creations with Kathy!

JULY

July 1st-Camp NaNoWriMo Kick-Off: 4 pm: Sign up for Camp NaNoWriMo and spend July writing a novel.

July 7th-Anime Sports Showcase: 3:30 pm: Anime fans, come check out several sports anime series.  We’ll be streaming episodes and may even have a surprise or two.

July 8th-Have Fun Storming the Castle: 4 pm: Join us for Dungeons and Dragons fun, no  experience necessarily.  We’ll do everything from creating     characters to starting a campaign.

July 21st-Star Trek: Beyond: 3:30 pm: Celebrate the 5oth Anniversary of Star Trek and the new Star Trek movie with a craft, a costume contest, and a screening of Star Trek (2009).

July 22nd-Have Fun Storming the Castle: 4 pm: Join us for Dungeons and Dragons fun, no  experience necessarily.  We’ll do everything from creating     characters to starting a campaign.

July 23rd-Teen Lock In: 8 pm to Midnight: A special after hours event for teens at the library which will include a scavenger hunt, karaoke, pizza and more.  Signed permission slips must be in by July 20th.

July 26th-Harry Potter Fun & Games: 3:30 pm: Join us in celebrating Harry’s birthday with fun and games and maybe even a round of Quidditch.

July 29th-Have Fun Storming the Castle: 4 pm: Join us for Dungeons and Dragons fun, no  experience necessarily.  We’ll do everything from creating       characters to starting a campaign.

July 30th-Drop Spindle & Yarn Making: 3 pm: Make a drop spindle out of an old cd and learn the basics of spinning yarn.

AUGUST

August 5th-Camp NaNoWriMo Wrap Up: 4 pm: Turn in your completed Camp NaNoWriMo novel to get a bound copy of it.
