NEW BOOK FESTIVAL A HUGE SUCCESS!!!

A great big THANK YOU! to everyone who made our New Book Festival a HUGE success!

Thank you, Coast Celtic Band for the wonderful music you provided. The ambience was phenomenal due to your presence.

Thank you, Kathy Silva and Valerie Frey, for the fun, fun, fun origami bats and butterflies!

Thank you, Dave Frick, for bringing the Bookmobile to those of us who’ve never had the opportunity to climb on board and check things out!

Thank you to Harvest Market for the generous gift card for us to purchase fresh food for the event. As always, the food was delicious!

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who tirelessly planned, gathered materials, ordered books and prepped the library for the event.

Most of all, thank you, thank you, thank you to all the people who joined us for the fun and for checking out all those new items! We had over 300 people in attendance and 400 + check-outs. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon on the coast!

That being said, we hope you’ll join Mendocino County Library for their upcoming New Book Festival in Pt. Arena (at the Grand Re-Opening) sometime this fall and again early next year at the Ukiah Branch Library. Dates for both events will be posted in the near future.

In the meantime, thanks for coming and we’ll see you at the library!
