Almost Fringe Festival Open Mic Poetry

Fort Bragg Library’s Open Mic Poets celebrate National Poetry Month with a combined concert and open mic.  Our Almost Fringe Festival event–Night of Music and Poetry–will be held at Fort Bragg Town Hall.

Bring poems to read aloud after the concert.

Chris Waltz kicks off our program with “an eclectic blend of Celtic, Folk, Spanish-Sephardic, Flamenco, and Neo-Classical music featuring original and traditional songs sung in Irish/Gaelic, Spanish, Latin, Ladino and English. Using voice, nylon and steel string guitars, mandolin, Irish flutes and whistles Waltz brings to life the melodic language of each tradition. With his powerful yet gentle voice, each song is finely crafted so the audience can experience the passion and emotion behind each turn of the melody.” The concert is followed by a Poetry Open Mic. Refreshments will be provided throughout the evening.
