Ever wonder what the cute little white flower is growing in your yard? Curious about the protected California poppy? Need a break after filing taxes? You’re in luck!

To kick off California Native Plant Week 2017, Julia Larke will present a slideshow and talk about wildflowers of coastal and forest plant communities of the Fort Bragg area. Julia is a member of the Dorothy King Young Chapter of the California Native Plant Society and she is also the librarian at Coast Community Library, in Point Arena. Fort Bragg Library and Coast Community Library will have displays of local wildflowers during California Native Plant Week from April 16 to 22, and Julia also provides wildflower displays at the Ford House Museum in Mendocino during April, May and June. Come enjoy the beauty of our local flora and learn the names of some of your favorites. April 15, 1 pm, Fort Bragg Library Community Room. Free.
