About Wild Things, Inc:

Founded in 1987…

Wild Things, Inc. was founded in 1987 for the explicit purpose of housing and caring for displaced wildlife and educating the public with a message of conservation and appreciation for natural wonders.

Wild Things, Inc. provides a home for over 60 species of wildlife. These animals are then shared in our wildlife education presentations which we offer to hundreds of thousands of school children every year. Our hope and desire, as we share these animals with the future generations, is that through meeting these animals and hearing their stories, they will gain a greater appreciation for the natural environment and thus be more likely to have an environmental conscience and make decisions that will benefit the earth.

Wild Things Inc. is a 501-c3 non-profit organization incorporated in 1987 to serve two valuable purposes:

  1. Provide homes for displaced wildlife.
  2. Share these animals as wildlife ambassadors in a public education forum.

The wild creatures housed at our organization are all animals that need help. They are animals that either have injuries that keep them from surviving in the wild or animals that individuals have tried to keep as illegal pets. Most of the animals housed at Wild Things Inc. come to us through the California Department of Fish and Game or the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.

Wild Things, Inc. visits tens of thousands of school children every year with a message of conservation and appreciation for the earth’s natural wonders.
