Dan Hess, Branch Librarian

Our Library offers many services to the community of Fort Bragg.  Below is a just a small listing of some of the services we provide on a regular basis:

Fort Bragg Seed Library
a depository of seeds held in trust for the members of the Mendocino County Library. Members come to the library and borrow seed for their gardens. They grow the plants in their home gardens and at the end of the season let a few of the plants go to seed. From those plants, they collect seeds and return the same amount of seed (more or less) as they borrowed at the beginning of the growing season.
Coast Literacy Program for Adults  Know Someone Who Needs Help?   If you are an adult who needs more help with your reading or know someone who does, please call or leave your contact information at the desk and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
Community Room  The Fort Bragg Library Community Room is a meeting space made available for public events sponsored by the library or other community organizations.
Ongoing Programs  A listing of ongoing programs at the Fort Bragg Library.  Check our events calendar for more details.  Events calendar
Outreach  Fort Bragg Library is working on services to reach out to community members unable to come to the library on their own.  Check back often for updates.
Public Computers  Fort Bragg Library has 8 free-use public computers.  Patrons can check email, job search, print documents, whatever their needs, on the public computers.
We Recommend  As staff members (and volunteers) a common question is what do we recommend? Patrons often ask for recommendations of good books to read, great movies we’ve seen, even audiobooks with exciting readers.  Check out “our” recommendations…
Wifi Access  Free WiFi (Wireless DSL) is available, with outlets provided for device charging, inside the Library during open hours and accessible 24/7 outside of the Library.
