4th DISTRICT VACANCY

The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors and the Library Advisory Board (LAB) are seeking interested citizens to serve on the Mendocino County Library Advisory Board. The seat to be filled will represent the Fourth District.

The purpose of the LAB is to advise and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, CEO and the Library Director regarding existing and proposed library policies and procedures and other relevant issues. The LAB is also involved in the development of the annual library budget and long-term plans for growth and sustainability of Mendocino County libraries.

Potential candidates for this vacancy must live within the boundaries of the Fourth District. Candidates should be collaborative and engaged leaders who are interested in representing the diversity of District Four and the County as a whole. A successful Board member will be a proponent for the library system and will serve as a community ambassador to further raise the profile of the libraries and the services they provide.

The LAB meets every other month at various locations throughout Mendocino County. Newly appointed Board members will be provided an orientation by the LAB.
